Due to times being hard and food prices on the rise, the dependence on Bristol’s food banks is as great as ever, with large numbers of families struggling to feed themselves.
UWE’s Good Food Society has teamed up with North Bristol Foodbank to help provide emergency food supplies to those in crisis.
By setting up food collection points throughout Frenchay campus, students have helped North Bristol Foodbank be able to distribute food to over 3000 people in the last year.
Collection points can be found at the Infopoint as well as in the Students’ Union offices.
Donations of non-perishable items and toiletries are gratefully received and will be directly distributed to those in need.
