UWE UCU members set to repeat industrial action (above)
The University and College Union (UCU) are calling for a UK-wide day of strike action by their members on Thursday 24 March. The strike will affect universities across the country and is about a national dispute over university pensions, pay and jobs.

UWE will be open on Thursday 24 March. However, due to the strike action, some lectures and other teaching activities may have to be re-scheduled or cancelled.

In an email to students, UWE state that “Heads of Department are working to establish as clear a picture as possible about the classes that will be affected.”

Students are advised to regularly check Blackboard for information about information specific to their course.

WesternEye will bring you more details as they become available.
