Motion is proud to present an exciting series of events entitled ‘An Evening with…’ whereby a string of films and performances will be featured by established figures. Each event will follow a question and answer session, which will allow for a rare, intimate and informal insight into a highly regarded profession.

Kicking off the series will be “An Evening with… Tony Grisoni”. Tony Grisoni is an award winning screenwriter and director, who has been involved in many different areas of film making before making the transition to screenwriting. Grisoni was first acknowledged in 1989 for his feature, ‘Queen of Hearts’, before collaborating with Michael Winterbottom to create the critically acclaimed ‘In This World’. Motion will be providing an exclusive screening of this extraordinary film, which explores the amazing works of Grisoni and Winterbottom’s compelling and captivating documentary that follows two Afghan teenagers as they escape from the Shashatoo refugee camp in Pakistan, along the smugglers’ route – The Silk Road – as they embark on a dangerous journey in search for freedom.  ‘In this World’ won the 2002 Berlinale Golden Bear.

Doors will open at 7pm with welcome refreshments and music followed by a screening of the film introduced by Grisoni. Refreshments will be available throughout the film including drinks from the Motion bar, cups of tea, cakes and more. The film will be followed by a special question and answer session where everyone is welcome to discuss topics with Grisoni.
