UWE’s Students’ Union has joined with the university to bring students and staff an opportunity to be healthier and happier.
Feel Good February aims to be a month loaded with exciting activities and competitions run by the university that span over Frenchay, Bower Ashton and Glenside campuses. All events are free to take part in.
The events are split into four categories, designed so that everyone can get involved: Physical, Healthy Eating, Wellbeing and Feel Good. Activities include yoga, table tennis, creative writing and mindfulness sessions. There are also opportunities to improve your professional skills with workshops covering group work, presentations and time management.
Participants of Feel Good February will receive a loyalty card, earning a stamp for each activity they complete during the month. The more stamps you receive, the more prizes you can win. Rewards include soup and salad vouchers, gym memberships, high street gift vouchers and an iPad Mini.
Vice President of Sport & Health, Roisin Greenup, said: “Feel Good Feb will help you stick to any new year’s resolutions, stay motivated and beat those January blues!”
She added: “Most students stuffer from the new year low, particularly around the exam period, so feel good February is designed to help enhance productivity during studies, reduce sickness and improve all round health and wellbeing.”
