Our new fashion columnist, first year Journalism and PR student Hannah Rooke, shares her thoughts on this years LFW.

So, that’s it, London Fashion Week is over for this season. The catwalks have been dismantled and the floods of celebrities that flocked to the front row seats have gone home but, as ever, it’s been a successful one.

This year saw model of the moment Cara Delevingne unveil her much anticipated bag collection for Mulberry, make runway history by taking a video ‘selfie’ whilst walking down the catwalk, as well as taking part in shows for Burberry Prorsum and Giles Deacon.

Alongside Cara at the Giles show was another familiar face in the form of 18 year old, supermodel to be Kendall Jenner. Making her LFW debut and taking the limelight from older sister, Kim, Kendall walked the runway sporting a monochrome dress, chunky black shoes and slicked back hair. She was also spotted in the front row at the Topshop Unique show next to the one and only, Anna Wintour. Only last week, the young Keeping Up With The Kardashians star made headlines after wearing a rather revealing top in the Marc Jacobs show for New York Fashion Week. Having just turned eighteen and starring in two of the most prestigious fashion show cases in the world, I think it’s fair to say Kendall Jenner is well on her way to making it big in the modelling industry.

Away from the extravagance of the runway, one of the highlights of LFW for me, is seeing the wealth of street style that oozes sophistication and creativity and this year didn’t disappoint. Despite the damp, British weather making the Umbrella the must have accessory, LFW attendees pulled out all the stops in an attempt to be hunted down and crowned ‘best – dressed’. So, after hours of trawling through pages and pages of LFW related websites, here are my top 10, street style looks from LFW 2014.
