Bar-School Society: interview

A couple of weeks back I caught up with Craig Umpleby, president of UWE Bar-School society.
What sort of things do you get up to at your bar-tending skills sessions?
We get up to loads of different things during our sessions, we alternate them every week so one week we will cover flairing (throwing bottles around) and the next we will cover mixology.

UWE History Society is hosting a talk, by award winning author Mike Jay, about a little known episode from Bristol’s History, at St Matts Campus, Lady Chapel, 6.30pm on Thursday 12th November. 

Mike Jay, studied philosophy at Cambridge University and has written extensively on scientific and medical history. He specialises in the history of madness and psychiatry and in the social history of drug use.
