So, the first decade of the new millennium has come to a close.

It’s been a strange old trip, I think you’ll agree. The birth of a new wave of communications and networking tools takes the world by storm. Tweeting, Facebooking and nth gen phones become household practices.

When I was growing up my Dad would argue; “your generation are just copycats, I used to wear things like that,” or “that isn’t a new song, it’s been out for years…. Wats-er-name sung it.” (All of this whilst wagging a finger at the accused copy-cat star on the TV). It might sound funny but what if he was right….
 

Hello and Welcome!

This is our blogging section of westerneye.net. I am under strict instructions from those who know a darn sight more about the web than I, not to write anything along the lines of ‘hello and welcome…’ as this seems to be a cardinal sign of blogging. Perhaps I have already committed another, by, gasp, blogging about blogging, albeit rather briefly. However I do think you need to know a bit more about the blogging lark we get up to on westerneye.net so here is a brief rundown…

Having had assessment week in January and received exam and assessment papers back over recent weeks something has been really winding me up.
 
I feel I must cry; what is the point of those fiddly sticky triangles we put on all our cover sheets if lecturers and markers go and peel them right off!
