Last week I went to see some live music for what felt like the first time in ages. Naturally one of the perks of this job is the occasional free ticket to see a new band but this time I was actually willing to part with some hard earned cash, albeit the paltry sum of £4, to see a band called Bizali at the Louisiana.

A wise man once said, ‘What came first? The music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?’ Well, granted it was John Cusack in the 2000 film ‘High Fidelity.’ A very, if I may, poor adaptation from the Nick Hornby book… anyway, lets get to the point.
